Position Summary:

Drab to Fab is seeking a highly motivated and results-oriented Sales & Construction Estimator to join our growing team. In this role, you will be responsible for generating sales leads, providing accurate project estimates, and building strong client relationships. You will play a crucial role in the success of our company by identifying and securing new business opportunities and ensuring profitable project execution.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Sales & Business Development:
    • Generate leads through various channels, including networking, cold calling, client referrals, and online marketing.
    • Conduct site visits to meet with potential clients, assess project needs, and gather necessary information for accurate estimating.
    • Prepare detailed and accurate project estimates, including material costs, labor costs, and equipment costs.
    • Present proposals to clients in a professional and persuasive manner, highlighting the value of Drab to Fab's services.
    • Build and maintain strong client relationships through excellent communication and follow-up.
  • Construction Estimating:
    • Collaborate with the project management team to ensure accurate project scoping and budgeting.
    • Review plans and specifications to identify potential challenges and develop effective solutions.
    • Research and source materials from reliable suppliers to ensure competitive pricing.
    • Stay updated on industry trends, new materials, and construction techniques.
  • Project Management Support:
    • Assist with project scheduling and coordination as needed.
    • Monitor project progress and address any potential issues that may arise during construction.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Landscape Architecture, or a related field preferred.
  • 2+ years of experience in landscape construction estimating or a related field.
  • Proven sales and customer service experience.
  • Strong understanding of landscape construction principles and practices.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation. 1

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with estimating software (e.g., Xactimate, Timberline)
  • Knowledge of landscape design principles
  • Experience with project management software
